City of Science and Innovation<\/h1>\n

Ejea de los Caballeros has been a City of Science and Innovation since 2010. It was awarded this distinction due to the competitive advantages created thanks to the combination of the intellectual and knowledge capital of its human resources with advanced scientific, technological and social innovative infrastructures. It is recognition for promoting a shift in the economic model based on innovation and sustainability.<\/p>\n

This distinction recognises the significant efforts being made to strengthen economic sustainability and improve a growth pattern based on knowledge and innovation.<\/p>\n

Ejea de los Caballeros was the first City of Science and Innovation in Aragon to obtain this distinction.<\/p>\n

Ejea de los Caballeros forms part of the Red Innpulso network \u2013 a meeting and information point for the city councils that have obtained the distinction of City of Science and Innovation.
It is a platform made up of cities that commit to science and innovation as the sole path to lead their citizens towards a change in the productive model, based on knowledge.<\/p>\n

Ejea de los Caballeros coordinates the working group on the \u201cChallenges for the sustainability of the rural space\u201d and furthermore, the Socioeconomic Council of Ejea de los Caballeros created an Innovation Observatory that is coordinated at SOFEJEA.<\/p>\n

Ejea de los Caballeros es uno de los municipios m\u00e1s importantes de Arag\u00f3n. Cuenta con un rico patrimonio art\u00edstico y natural as\u00ed como una larga tradici\u00f3n cultural y festiva adem\u00e1s de una actividad econ\u00f3mica muy din\u00e1mica.<\/h3>\r\nLa ciudad conjuga un casco hist\u00f3rico con encanto y un moderno Ensanche. Ejea de los Caballeros dispone de numerosos equipamientos culturales y deportivos. Gran cantidad de zonas verdes y una buena red de parques urbanos.\r\n\r\nLa econom\u00eda del municipio tiene su base en el complejo agroalimentario junto con la industria de maquinaria agr\u00edcola, sobre la que se ha desarrollado un tejido industrial cada vez m\u00e1s diversificado.\r\n\r\nEjea de los Caballeros, ofrece una extensa oferta de servicios comerciales, sanitarios, financieros, educativos o tur\u00edsticos entre otros y fue distinguida por el Gobierno de Espa\u00f1a como \u201cCiudad de la Ciencia y la Innovaci\u00f3n\u201d por su apuesta decidida y constante por la I+D+i.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\r\n
